Jose Mourinho’s squad will travel to the east and west coast, where they are scheduled to play five games in five cities, including Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Santa Clara and Washington DC.
The Red Devils, who last visited the USA in 2015, are set to reveal the opposition, dates and venues of Tour 2017 in the coming days.
United will face neighbours Manchester City in the States, though, after their pre-season clash in 2016 was cancelled due to torrential rain in Beijing making for an unplayable pitch.
“We have witnessed first-hand the passion and support for the club in the US in recent years, so naturally it is something that everybody is very much looking forward to this summer.”
Meanwhile, Mourinho’s side will travel to the Etihad Stadium on April 27 for their derby clash with City, after the original fixture was postponed as a result of their involvement in the EFL Cup final.
The 174th Manchester derby will be played on a Thursday for the first time since 1994, when United thumped the Citizens 5-0 on the night.
